No! Most of our cold air returns are made in custom sizes. We also do non-standard lip dimensions all the time. Give us a call and tell us about your situation.
Well, how about the cast bronze and aluminum pieces?
Ummm...well sometimes it is done, but it is much more problematic. Give us a call and we'll talk about it.
I am putting in a new floor and I want something flush with the surrounding surface.
OK. Not a problem. But if you are NOT putting in a new floor it is much more difficult, but not impossible. Hope you are detail oriented!
Why would I ever want one of the units with the built in filter?
Some people don't have a filter in their system (bad). Others have a furnace in an attic or creepy crawlspace. It would be much easier to change the filter in the return air grille in the hallway. This is for them.
Return air grilles are very confusing, especially when compared to heat registers. I'm getting irritable.
Hey...it isn't just you. They can be complex. We just need to put our heads together and talk it through.
How do I know you aren't going to mess up the order?
On any piece that is the least bit challenging we send over a spec sheet for your approval before putting the order in process for you to check over the dimensions, finish, lead time, price, and other important specifications. On even more unusual orders we often provide artwork to approve (no charge).
My opening is on the wall, but it is all the way down right next to the floor (or baseboard). What now?
Time to put on the thinking cap. Make sure you have a lot of measurements before you call up. It might even be nice to have you email us a picture.
Our ten million dollar house had the concrete floors poured around the ducts, but the sizes had not been made yet. So now all the openings are weird sizes. Should we jack hammer up the floors?
No. Give us a call. We can probably figure something out. (this actually happened)
