Return air grilles . . .

. . . can really spice up a room! Unfortunately, most "stock" grilles are pretty pathetic from an aesthetic standpoint. We like to think that our selection covers just about any style in which a person might be interested. If there is one thing we have learned over the years, it is that nobody seems to have a standard sized opening...so we have equipped ourselves with the ability to custom make many different sizes, depending upon which style you choose.

Return air registers many times are located centrally in one of the main rooms. The prominence of the of the location gives you the opportunity to draw attention to something that you normally wouldn't and replace it with something that is ultra attractive and can really add some pizzazz. You can also downplay an area with a beautiful grille. Standard return air registers are usually made of something unattractive with cheap construction materials, perhaps with a dab of drab coating in some industrial looking paint. Some current popular trends in home decor are the industrial look, mid-century modern and rustic simple. We have attractive looking options for all these and more, plus you can do the look without looking cheap.
When something doesn't add, it often times subtracts. Obviously you don't want to do that, your intent is to make things more visually appealing. you want your return air grille to be quietly elegant, flowing with the style of the house We make it a snap with all the different options to choose from concerning design and construction materials. Our metal register material consists of solid brass, copper, stainless steel, cast iron, cast bronze, aluminum, and more. And that's just the metals, - the woods are even more extensive. Complement any existing woodwork in your home with standards, such as cherry, oak, or maple. If you are into the exotics for an up charge you get bamboo, teak, chestnut, spruce, cedar, larch, ash, mahogany, knotty pine, myrtle, really the list just goes on and on.
Take some time and sit with your computer (and your spouse!) and look through our vast offerings. When you have a question call and ask. We have some of the most knowledgeable representatives in the field manning the telephones, so please feel free to give us a call with your special needs, more than likely we will be able to help. Check into the geometric wood grilles. They are unique in style and very classic looking, plus they are available in tons of standard sizes, and if you have an oddball size that you need we can most likely do that too. As a matter of fact, not too long ago we made one that was over twenty seven feet long. That was constructed in several segments. They come in several woods for you to stain; oak, cherry or maple, or you may opt for our high grade plywood which can be painted to your liking.

Our metal return air filter grilles are available in some great designs that you won't be finding at your local big box hardware store. Plus, we make these registers to any size you need...and we've seen some oddball sizes before! Not everyone can boast that they have custom made units such as these! The existing motifs shown on our site include the popular mission style, which looks great in a wide variety of houses, but especially craftsman or contemporary structures. There is also an intricate basket weave design, as well as the ever popular honeycomb pattern.
If you have a vintage charmer house you may have existing eggcrate style registers. Often over the last one hundred years the wooden slats may have been broken. It is rare to find one in good condition. Our eggcrate style returns are made in a much higher quality manner than those from many years ago. It is difficult not to appreciate the classy look of the eggcrate style. Eggcrate style units are by far the best choice for using in a floor application. You can see our eggcrate heat registers by visiting eggcrateregisters.com. The geometric and metal registers are best suited for wall or ceiling applications, truth be told.

Before contacting us to discuss your needs it is a good idea to measure your existing duct openings accurately. If you have more than one you will want to measure each one individually. Often, it is tempting to assume that all openings are the same dimensions, but they may actually be slightly different. Also, you will want to give some thought as to which way you want the patterns to run if you are ordering the metal units. For example, do you want the slats in the mission style return to be running the long ways or the short ways? Give some thought to what kind of would that you would like also. There are many different woods to choose from in the eggcrate style. If you have an existing oak floor and you want to match it then most likely you will want red oak, which is the type of oak that is most commonly used for these sorts of units.
